What’s So Special About Jellyfishes?
Do you agree that jellyfishes are often misunderstood? I believe this because whenever one mentions jellyfish, the thought of a sharp pain comes to mind. However, not many see that they are also beautiful creatures to behold. They do not intend to hurt the people that come near them because this is the way they defend their selves if they notice that they’re in harm’s way.I believe that my wrong impressions about these jellyfishes were erased because of my encounter with them at the Shoals Aquarium and Nature Center. I used to look at them with much fear because I’ve heard a lot of stories about them. Thankfully, when I saw them, I saw that they are creatures that add color to the water, along with the other fish species found there.
Other than this, I get to learn about them. I learned that they exist in various oceans, which make them saltwater creatures. There are actually a lot of varieties of jellyfish that come in different sizes and colors. Those in aquariums are even given extra lights because they are almost transparent. Even so, they’re a nice sight to see.
What Else Can I Learn From Aquariums?
Aquariums have taught me to appreciate the marine world better. Instead of fearing creatures such as the jellyfishes, I get to see them in a whole new light. I don’t just visit these establishments for leisure purposes but to actually become a step closer to the world under the water.
